Sealy® mattresses are designed to be used on a solid, flat surface, such as our foundations or adjustable bases. Using a base or foundation that does not provide proper support may affect your mattress warranty.
A proper bed frame should fully support the foundation. For queen and king sizes, this includes a rigid center support with at least five legs or five hardwood cross slats. This center support is just as important as the four corner legs to ensure proper balance and overall support.
Our mattresses have only been tested for compatibility with Tempur-Pedic®, Sealy®, and Stearns & Foster® bases and foundations.
