The bases have a zero-clearance, which means they can sit flat on the floor, or on a platform bed that is capable of supporting the weight of the adjustable base.
If you have a solid or platform bed frame, you can twist off the legs and place the power base directly inside the frame. This creates a lower-profile setup while maintaining full functionality. As with any setup, be sure your frame is sturdy enough to support the total weight of the base, mattress, and occupants.
